UFCA Scholars Victorious Over Doncaster Rovers U18s

UFCA Scholars kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers U18s at Cantley Park Training Ground.

The new-look squad, with a number of first-year scholars progressing from UFCA Under 16s, put in an impressive display against the South Yorkshire outfit to get the 2024-25 season underway.

In a well-contested and competitive match, UFCA Scholars found the back of the net in the 29th and 48th minute before conceding in the 89th minute.

Midfielder Koree Simpson expressed his delight when interviewed after the full-time whistle.

“It's a quality start to pre-season, with a really positive performance.

“It's always good to come and test ourselves against a challenging academy like Doncaster Rovers.”

“The priority with these games is to get minutes into the legs and rebuild that match sharpness, so it's great for me and the lads to be able to do that.”
